Description

This two bedroomed apartment with sea views is on a small exclusive site between Westward Ho! and Northam Burrows Country Park with private access to the Northam Burrows which is part of the UK's first designated UNESCO Biosphere and adjoins the Royal North Devon Golf Club.

The Lookout is on a corner plot and benefits from a fully-enclosed patio and an open-plan living area on the first floor with patio doors opening out onto a balcony with sea views. The kitchen is beautifully designed to make the most of the space and is very well-equipped with everything you’ll need to rustle up a delicious evening meal to enjoy on the balcony. And the sitting area benefits from a couple of comfortable sofas arranged around the television. On the ground floor there is a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a king and a twin – both with a television and one with an en-suite shower room. All of the properties on the development have been designed to make the most of the beautiful countryside and coastal views with special care taken in both the external and internal design of every property to ensure each one slightly different.

All of the properties have private access to the Northam Burrows which boasts sand dunes, salt marsh, grassland and rocky shore and is teeming with wildlife, including rare plants, insects, birds and stunningly vivid lichen. But Westward Ho! is not just about the beach. The town has everything you need for a great family holiday, with a range of food outlets catering for all tastes (and some award-winning cakes!) and seaside shops to explore. Royal North Devon Golf Club can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of the South. The golf course is as tough as any of the UK’s more famous links layouts and has recently been placed in Golf World's "Top 100 Courses in the World" that a golfer “must play”.

We had a wonderful week at The Hideaway and it felt like a home from home. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed at. It was clean warm and comfortable. We loved the view and walks on The Burrows with our dog. We had some lovely meals at The Seagate, The Boathouse, Flame Factory and the Royal George, all dog friendly. Would recommend!

The Lookout is a beautiful house in a peaceful location with views towards the golf course and sea in the distance. Excellent location for great walks and proximity to the centre of Westward Ho! We hardly used the car all week. Everything in the house was top notch, hotel quality bedding and underfloor heating which was very welcome in the February chill. Can't fault anything, hopefully will be back next year

Great location. The property was exactly as described. Clean and everything you could possibly need was provided. We could walk into the main beach area easily. Views to the sea beyond were lovely. Beds comfortable and great showers. The property was very warm so would be good in winter breaks. We would definitely book again.

We had a lovely time at the 'Lookout', short walk into Westward, which was fine for us. The property was clean & tidy when we arrived & the little treats that was their for us on arrival were lovely. The property had everything we needed, washing machine, dishwasher. Lots of books and games for the children. I've already recommended this property to a friend, who likes to holiday in Westward with a dog & also another friend who likes to play golf. We wouldn't hesitate coming back to this property another year.

Fabulous property which is well equipped and very clean. Loved the upside down aspect making the most of the views & sunsets. Great base for exploring North Devon, lovely walk from the property to Appledore and only a short walk to the beautiful beach. We absolutely loved it!
