Description

An absolutely delightful, end-terraced cottage built circa 1700 and situated right in the heart of this award winning village. Formerly the village butchers shop the cottage has been tastefully transformed into a wonderfully spacious and fully modernized holiday home. Located directly opposite the banks of the pretty, winding River Yarrow the cottage is ideally positioned for enjoying the many delights Croston has to offer, from its welcoming pubs to its many historic features. Croston itself is the perfect location from which to explore this popular part of the world with Southport, the Martin Mere Wildlife sanctuary and being just a short drive away.

GROUND FLOOR:
Kitchen/dining area: Open fire,  wooden beams, slate tiled floor, Gas range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, Settee, CD player, dining table and chairs.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: King size 4 poster bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair.
Bedroom 2: King size 4 poster bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers.
Lounge: Small lounge area, sofa, TV.
Bathroom: Roll top bath, shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

SECOND FLOOR:
Lounge: Spacious lounge with TV, video, DVD, coffee table.
Bathroom: Bath, toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 3: Super king  size bed, chest of drawers.

Dalton Cottage is in the ideal location of Croston, a lovely quaint village. Good choice of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets & train station all close by. The owners of Dalton Cottage are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely consider another holiday there.

A lovely house with great character, beautifully presented. It's like being in an art gallery with comfy beds, everywhere you look there is an item of interest to ponder, including in the courtyard garden. A problem with the flush mechanism of a toilet was quickly sorted by the friendly and helpful owners.

Delightful Cottage ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dalton Cottage is a surprisingly spacious cottage in the very lovely village of Croston. It could not be more convenient, 45 minutes from Manchester Airport, admittedly on a Sunday! Everything is walkable. There is a coffee/tea room 20yds away, a very nice pub/restaurant, The Wheatsheaf, down the street and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. What more could you ask?
