Reviews

The house was spotless, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Further, the service from original cottages was superb! They were friendly, polite and extremely effective at resolving two minor queries during our stay.

Mr B,

Fantastic place to stay, views are spectacular and accommodation is clean. Cannot fault it in any way, but some people may find the steep incline to the property challenging

Mrs E,

Lovely house with fantastic views. Would thoroughly recommend.

Dr W,

Thanks so much for the most amazing holiday. The house is beautiful, the views sublime 'Thank you!'

Mrs Lara W,

Beautiful house, very well equipped. Enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

Dr Ahmed H,

the cottage was amazing and so was the location, We had a lovely time!

Mrs Lara W,

This accommodation is by far the best and our favourite. we are grateful to experience the beauty of your home, we were able to chill-ax, enjoy each other's company and bond as a family before kids heading back to school and us 'stress at work!' We would love o be here again next time. Thank you.

Mrs A,

Ivydene is lovely, Equipment, views, perfect. Only one complaint is the access to the property, (Car port) Just think it should be made 100% clear that the access road Shutta road is one way and is 6'3 in places. Most Medium cars will find it very tight to get to property. If not impossible! leaving all luggage and shopping to be carried up a very steep incline and/or steep steps from the Harbour car park. As this is a 4 bed house, In my opinion families with young children and maybe grandparents would struggle unless very fit. Travel instructions need an update Barclays bank is now a clothing shop. I would recommend arriving in daylight. Alternative parking space at Mill pool car park is fine. Although car port was too small for our car it would have been nice to drop luggage off at house and park at Mill Pool. This was not possible. Once there house as I say is lovely.

Mrs Antoinette D,

Location

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach.  Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view. There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you. You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own! If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds.  Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife. Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
