Description

Tucked away in a quiet but central spot in West Looe with glorious views across the town from the large bay windows in both the living room and master bedroom, Rose Cottage has been stylishly finished with many delightful features and a fabulous kitchen with all the conveniences of home. The décor is a mix of muted shades of grey providing a contemporary feel, painted floorboards, soft carpets and bold-coloured upholstered seating on which to relax. Carefully positioned chairs will allow you to sit and soak up the views.

This town house will suit a family or friends sharing and is within walking distance of all the facilities that Looe has to offer. Catch one of the little ferry boats running across the river and explore the maze of narrow streets with a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants or head out along Hannafore Point for some magnificent views across the bay. Looe is a great to also visit out of season when the town quietens down and Rose Cottage provides a welcoming, cosy, home-from-home to help you escape for a few days of peace and tranquility.

GROUND FLOOR: (reached by two sets of steps with an intermediate landing)
Entrance Porch: With space for coats and shoes leading to utility area with plenty of storage room for beach equipment
Living Room: Smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, coffee table, harbour views from the large bay window with seating for 5.
Dining Room: Dining table and chairs
Kitchen: Ceramic hob, electric oven, extractor fan, fridge, digital radio and doorway leading to
Utility Room: Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, sink. Can be accessed from front entrance - ideal for pets.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: King size bed (5'), bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers, far-reaching views across the town to the harbour
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3'), bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers
Bedroom 3: Single bed (2'6"), may be more suited to a child, chest of drawers, views to harbour
Bathroom: Bath, separate shower cubicle with thermostatic shower, basin, w.c., shaver point, heated towel rail

GARDEN & PARKING: Enclosed garden and terrace on two levels with a number of steps, garden furniture and barbecue. Limited on-street parking available close by for unloading and plenty in public car park 10 mins walk away.

Pets Welcome: Maximum 2 dogs. £25 per dog per week.
Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included in price, gas central heating. Heated towel rail. 
Bedding and Linen: Pillows & duvets included; bed linen provided, towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Travel cot, highchair and stairgate provided. Please bring your own cot bedding.
Shop: 100 yds  Pub: 100 yds

NOTES: No smoking. 2 Pets allowed. WiFi provided. Please note access to this property is reached by a short but steep hill and two sets of concrete steps with an intermediate landing so may not be suited to people with limited mobility. Mobile phone reception varies.

Rose Cottage couldn’t have been more welcoming. It had super comfy beds, soft towels and it was well equipped with all kitchen items for a week’s home from home. The dining space was perfect for family meals and the sitting room had comfy chairs and sofa and TV. We enjoyed the little touches such as cookery books, maps and jigsaw puzzles. The location of the cottage is in West Looe, which proved a good choice because it was a short walk away from the hubbub of the town and so very peaceful. On the road below the cottage is a Londis which had fresh baked goods, vegetables and all other groceries. The Spar was also handy and people super friendly. We will absolutely come back to Looe and would highly recommend Rose Cottage.

We had a wonderful time. Rose cottage was lovely and we loved the view over the harbour. The house is Very comfortable. The house is also dog friendly providing a blankets and bowls. The house has Easy access to the coast bath for wonderful sea views and a short walk over the bridge into East Looe which has an array of shops, cafes, pubs etc. Note the main Looe beach is not not friendly. In west Looe theres a pub , 'Jolly Sailor' , very close serving very tasty meals and a fantastic atmosphere, 2 small but very well stocked shops at the bottom of the hill, and a cafe along the harbour road serving a good breakfast. All within 5 minutes walk. We parked in the Millpool carpark, £15 for the week in Feb. This can be done online prior to arriving. Please note there is no access to the property with a car. Not a problem for us but the walk up the hill is a path, only 30 metres, and is very steep. We lucked in with a space next to the fire station to unload. We didnt find it a problem as the intstructions make you very aware. Overall a great week stay. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Thanks

Very well situated cottage to explore Looe. Rose cottage has everything you need for a great holiday. We used the Millpool car park for our weeks stay , which at the time cost £25 for the week.
