Middleton is a beautiful village with a medieval church, lovely village green, a popular traditional thatched pub and rich local life.  Picturesque and secluded, it is one of Suffolk's best kept secrets.  A wonderful location for exploring coastal Suffolk, with Aldeburgh, Southwold and Dunwich close by and Minsmere Nature Reserve on its doorstep, it is also ideal for country walks, cycling and exploring historical sites. The nearby Middleton Bell has received the Good Pub Guide Value Pub of the Year Award.   The Reckford Roost farm shop also offers a surprisingly wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables and provisions.

Reviews

Beautiful Cottage with lovely garden and views ( not seen at its best due to being February) although we had good weather considering. Plenty of stunning walks and scenery. Parking was limited. Local pub was very good with lovely food and dog friendly. Having a Real fire was lovely and the decor throughout was very nice. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Mrs W,

Fabulous cottage in a lovely village. All very comfy and cosy with the log-burning stove. Easy trips out to Dunwich Heath and Walberswick, and a lovely local pub.

Mrs G,

This property was so well equipped and clean! We settled and relaxed easily and what a great base to get to the coast or further inland! Fabulous garden which would be perfect in warmer weather!

Mrs D,

Very clean, everything you need, comfortable and great outside safe space for dogs.

Mr M,

Lovely well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. A two minute stroll to the village pub. Country walks on the doorstep and a dog friendly beach, Dunwich forest and heath land all just a short drive away. Perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mrs C,

A lovely cottage which was well-equipped and nicely presented. Very clean and lots of space downstairs. Well-positioned for exploring. Parking was an issue for a large car as it does end up sticking out on the road and a parasol to offer some shade in the garden would have been very welcome in the very hot spell we had.

Mr B,

2nd Time used Original Cottages. Properties suit our life style and are to be highly recommended.

Mr Geoff H,

We have stayed at Heather View three times and love it's location in a quiet village but within easy access of our favourite birdwatching areas.

Mrs L,

We had a wonderful stay at Heather View. Location was just perfect including the local pub which we visited a couple of times, enjoying beautiful meals and friendly staff. The cottage was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. We used the lovely wood burner too. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.

Mrs R,

Lovely well equipped cottage. It was a great base for exploring the local area. The Bell Inn is a very good village pub, a 2 minute walk from the cottage. For great seafood, we recommend Southwold.

Past Customer,

Lovely stay at Heather View. Lots of walks from the doorstep, beautiful coastline, which we enjoyed exploring. Lot's of dog friendly eateries!

Past Customer,

Really enjoyed our stay here, thanks. Visited several places on the coast, all of our usual beautiful villages, Dunwich, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Had some lovely meals out at the Fox Inn-Darsham, Very good food and dog friendly. Food good in the village pub- The Bell too.

Past Customer,

Excellent. A wonderful home from home.
