Description

Hillside Farm Barns are a group of four thoughtfully converted properties situated around a central courtyard. The owners have taken pride in their conversion and have been furnished to a high standard. The properties offer light, spacious accommodation and have the added benefit of being single story with level access so would be ideal for those less able. Wangford offers two village pubs, a garage and good general store. Wangford Farm Shop is situated next to the properties and offers fresh daily produce. Shop: 0.02 miles Pub: 0.5 miles.

Wangford is only three miles from the beaches and from Southwold town centre, yet within easy access of the A12 and the many other attractions of the Heritage Coast. There is a good village shop, a farm shop and the popular Angel Inn, with restaurant serving good local food, much recommended by past guests.

This was our second time staying at the Stables. Fantastic stay so peaceful and restful. The barn was so very clean had everything you needed for a self catering break. So very clean and comfortable. Will be back.

This has been our second stay at this property and we have very much enjoyed them and hope to return next year. The cottage is compact but comfortable and the small patio area provides a sunny spot for lunch and is perfectly adequate for our dog. The on-site farm shop is a bonus. The cottage is within easy driving distance of Southwold which is a delightful seaside town with pier, promenade and a working harbour.

The added bonus was the friendliness of the owners, having the farm shop next door. It was a very short drive to Southwold and the village pub and shop were excellent.

We have stayed in many self catering cottages throughout the UK and found The Stables to be a slightly higher standard than most. We used to run a holiday cottage ourselves and understand the problems involved but it seems that the owner of the property has decided to avoid problems by finishing the cottage to a high standard and providing good quality kitchen goods. And yes, we will happily return.
