Description

Heanton Lodge is a spacious, detached house in an elevated position with panoramic sea views, a large garden and plenty of space for eight people. Situated in the village of Heanton Punchardon very close to Braunton, it’s within walking distance of The Williams Arms a popular thatched village pub and restaurant in Wrafton. The entrance to this wonderful holiday home is through a useful porch/boot room and into the open-plan kitchen and dining room. The modern kitchen has a breakfast bar with kitchen stools and a built-in electric oven with ceramic hob; whilst the dining area, which is through an archway from the kitchen, has a table large enough to seat the whole party. The light and airy living room has patio doors leading out on the west side of the garden and some comfy settees arranged around the Smart television and the south-facing conservatory offers an extra living space for any of the group who would like some “quiet time”. A useful utility room and cloakroom complete the accommodation downstairs. Upstairs there are four well furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second King is at the west end of the house and has lovely sea views. In between these bedrooms are two Twin bedrooms and the modern shower room with large walk-in shower. Outside, Heanton Lodge has a long sweeping drive which is large enough to park three cars comfortably and there are some beautiful south-facing patios with views over the River Taw and the impressive dunes at Braunton Burrows (which is a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) and the Atlantic Ocean in the distance.

Reviews

What a wonderful house and garden with stunning views, enjoyed very much by our four generations. Great outings to Hartland Abbey, Clovelly, Lynton and the beautiful local beaches. We shall treasure the memories of a wonderful holiday. Our return visit lived up to expectations and more. A beautiful comfortable house feeling a home from home. Special thanks for bubbly and scones.

Past Customer,

Truly a pleasant beautiful house with every imaginable convenience for cooking, baking or a relaxing tea in the sun room. Enjoyed the lovely view, fantastic sunny weather and comfortable beds. Can't wait to holiday here again soon. A beautiful spot and absolutely loved the local area, and the peace and quiet. Enjoyed the gorgeous views from the garden and especially the wildlife inhabiting it. Lovely variety of plants. We were lucky with the weather and absolutely thrilled to stay in this amazing home. Beautifully appointed and well equipped and appreciated all the provided info. Will certainly be coming back.

Past Customer,

We have had a wonderful stay in your lovely house. We look forward to staying (again!) Thankyou

Past Customer,

A lovely week spent in this beautiful home. Two week old Rupert thoroughly enjoyed his first holiday.

Past Customer,

We have had a fantastic two weeks sitting in the conservatory at mealtimes enjoying the views and the garden. Has been a delight especially for the little ones. From baby Amelia 10 weeks to us oldies (68) and everyone in between. We have had a holiday to remember. Thank you

Past Customer,

We have had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. Our 8 year old immediately adopted the cheetah and our teenagers enjoyed having so much space. We absolutely loved the garden and the views. All of the pictures make the house interesting too. We have been to Woolacombe, Woody Bay Railway. Rock and Rapid climbing coast steering with Rock and Rapid at Baggy Point ( this was excellent for older kids and adults on a grey day). and surfing. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Past Customer,

We had a wonderful holiday in Heanton Lodge, the house was beautiful and stunning views. Our second year staying here and it was been another lovely family holiday. Thank you.

Past Customer,

An absolutely stunning location and a wonderfully-appointed house! Enjoyed every moment spent there and it was wonderfully situated for the places we wanted to visit around North Devon. The house was clean and clear information was provided throughout, and we really appreciated the extras in the kitchen that had been provided upon our arrival. The privacy and quiet of the surrounding area made our holiday truly special, and we will definitely be coming back to stay again soon!
