Description

Coldwell Cottage is a beautiful farmhouse which has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The cottage is located in 35 acres of fields, woodland, limestone pavement, stream and ponds.  It has a fantastic covered outside kitchen and dining area with a woodfired pizza oven, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the rolling countryside whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple.

The cottage retains original features and character following the renovation, there are beautiful wooden beams throughout. Downstairs, there is the large lounge area with comfortable seating around the magnificent fireplace and wood burning stove. The rooms are light and airy, with a lovely window seat, if you fancy quiet moments to enjoy the views.

The lounge adjoins the open plan kitchen and dining area, a stunning modern facility carefully planned to provide everything you can possibly need for your holiday. The huge dining table seats up to ten and if you fancy a bit of alfresco dining, the patio doors open onto a traditional stone seating area with a bistro table, letting you enjoy the local wildlife, pond, gentle country views and peace with no sounds other than the waterfall and wildfowl.

Downstairs, there is a bathroom with W/C, a pantry with microwave and Nespresso coffee machine and a utility room with washer/dryer adjoining the rear coat lobby, leading to the huge barn which features a Table Tennis table and where bikes or equipment can be stored.

Upstairs, there are 3 tastefully and individually decorated rooms, one with a king-sized bed, one with a double and the other bedroom with 2 single beds. All rooms offer a relaxing ambience with glorious views from every window. The family bathroom has a spacious bath and a separate walk-in shower unit, in addition to the WC, basin and airing cupboard.

Outside is where Coldwell cottage really exceeds all expectations. There are 35 acres of private grasslands with ponds, streams, friendly donkeys, abundant wildlife to explore and enjoy. The outside kitchen with its illuminated dining area is truly special. This features its own French open fire, an original Italian woodfired pizza oven and a rustic food preparation area. It creates a lovely space for alfresco dining all year round.

The cottage is attached to the main farmhouse and shares the huge central barn. Parking alongside is available for unloading with a huge hidden car parking area for long term use. An EV charging point also available at Coldwell Cottage.
