Description

Situated next door to both Dale End Farm & Barn, the Loggia is a detached property, the perfect place for two. Completed in 2009, it has been sympathetically restored from an old cow Byre into a modern and contemporary studio accommodation.

In an elevated position, the property and deck enjoys one of the best views in the Lake District, looking out over Grasmere Water, Heron Pike and the surrounding fells. A large L shaped open plan room with king size bed at one end and the lounge and kitchen at the other. Large windows from the kitchen and lounge area take in the massive view, so no matter if the weather is less favourable, you can look out from the comfort of your armchair!

The property benefits from a stone flagged floor with underfloor heating throughout. A separate shower room with sink and w.c., large flatscreen TV with Freesat HD which can be swivelled to both the lounge and bedroom areas, if you don't feel like getting up to watch the news. The sleeping area has a king size bed, drawers and wardrobe, the lounge area has two leather reclining chairs and foot stool.

Outside you have access to the shared garden, which overlooks Grasmere lake.

What's included? We want our holiday cottages to be a 'home for home'. All the beds are made up ready for you, towels are included so no need to bring those, and shower mats are also provided. Two tea towels and a set of oven gloves/oven cloth will be in the kitchen along with a starter pack that includes: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, basic cleaning products, a bin bag in each bin and a few dishwasher tabs. This is just to 'start you off'; you will need to buy your own once these have run out.

This property can be booked at the same time as booking Dale End Farm or Dale End Barn to accommodate 17 people in total.

Reviews

Loved this place. Great location with fabulous views. The garden was lovely and our dog loved it, it was enclosed and safe. We had pretty much everything we needed at the cottage. We will definitely be back thank you

Mr B,

Fantastic location, fully equipped and immaculately clean cottage. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Mrs G,

Stunning location to spend a holiday. Totally relaxing and lovely.to drawer back the curtains every morning. Perfect getaway for the wife and me with the dog.

mr J,

A short drive of approx 1 mile from the village of Grasmere to the property. The property itself is perfectly located with a great view of Grasmere lake and surrounding hillsides. This property is a great base from which to explore the local area as well as further afield.

Mrs R,

Delightful stays, the views sitting on the balcony and garden are stunning. Accommodation is very cosy and comfortable. Loved every moment of our little getaway. Calm my soul and mind.

Mr Kay L,

We stayed for our honeymoon and the property and location was lovely. The views were stunning and was only a 15mins walk into Grasmere. The cottage was very clean and homely and had essentials for everyday things. The property provided adequate amount of cutlery and crockery as well as towels, bar of soap, chopping board, few tea bags, sachets of coffee, milk and sugar. The tv worked well and the bed was extremely comfortable. All in all, a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.

Mrs F,

Compact and comfortable cottage in a great location, 15 minute walk from Grasmere (village), with a lovely view east over Grasmere (lake). Single L-shaped room (plus bathroom) so not lots of space - we had great weather, although it might be less cozy with lots of wet gear in the room. Lovely garden overlooking the lake (shared, but plenty of space) and there are two paths nearby leading down to the lake shore (one of them through a wood), so great for morning/evening dog walks. There are plenty of 2-3 hour walks from the cottage, which can be extended if you are so inclined. We found the cottage adequately equipped for cooking, but previous reviews were critical - as with all holiday cottages, if you’re planning to cook best take some sharp knives and your own pans/casserole dishes if you need something specific. The garden is secure for most dogs - the was a sheep in the garden when we got there but we notified the agents and the fence was secured within 2 days. We would definitely stay here again.

mr S,

For safety reasons it would be advisable ton have a safety handle fitted in the shower. Otherwise we found everything satisfactory.

Mr Peter L,

We both loved the location of our little cottage..

Mr James D,

Fantastic property for this couple plus dog at the onset of winter. Really cosy and comfortable accommodation with the most amazing views and lovely walks of all magnitudes right from the door.

Mr E,

Super little cottage in a stunning location.
