Reviews

Great location, well equipped kitchen, very clean.

Mrs H,

Some of the pots and glasses were dirty and had to be washed. There were big cobwebs on the walls in the main bedroom, in the wardrobe where we are expected to keep our clothes, and more thick ones in the en-suite, complete with a few spiders. In the kitchen we dropped something on the floor and it rolled under a small sideboard, when we pulled the sideboard out, it was THICK with dust and dirt with a black banana under there as well. The kitchen table was sticky and we washed and cleaned it several times. There are steps outside the porch leading to the front door, one of the paving stones was broken and loose and is a danger, it wobbles when you stand on it and we had to put it back in place several times. There is ivy growing through the walls into the porch. There is a honeysuckle plant outside the dining room window which is too high and spoils the view, it could do with a good trim. Also while we were there, the toilet flush broke in the bathroom on the top floor, we rang the housekeeper who said it had broken 2 weeks previously and had been repaired, she would call us back but never did. We managed with the toilet, it was just very slow to refill. We had the same property last year with the same issues, apart from the toilet and banana, gave it the benefit of the doubt but it was just the same. No work has been undertaken and it is in need of a thorough cleaning. Overall this is a lovely property in a really good location but it does need some TLC.

Mr Allison T,

Twice a year our group of old school friends meet up somewhere on the coast and Fircones was the perfect base for our visit to Croyde. Lots of parking (we had 5 cars) and less than 5 mins walk into Croyde. Loads of room and a great communal spaces; kitchen m, dining room, sitting room etc. Really lovely property and completely hassle free through Marsdens as well. Thank you.

Mr B,

We had a wonderful stay at Fircones. The location was excellent, only a 15 minute walk to the lovely Croyde Bay and a couple of minute walk to pubs! The house itself was very spacious and comfortable providing everything needed including lots of fun board games which was a great touch.
