Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay at Steppe Haugh. The property is quirky and full of character- I’ve never seen so many steps and odd stairs! Every bedroom has a lovely en-suite and the beds were comfortable as was the lounge. We were able to go for great walks straight from the house and still be right in the lovely little town of Hawes with its shops, pubs and cafes. I was especially taken with The Dales Countryside Museum and we spent a very interesting afternoon there.

Mrs V,

Perfect house for 7 people. The facilities were excellent and the owners went that extra mile with the Christmas decorations. This was greatly appreciated, along with the homemade Christmas pudding. Location is excellent, Hawes is a lovely place with local shops, cafes and pubs. The beds were very comfortable. All of it was well thought out to make it an enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Mrs D,

Very well appointed property in great location close to local amenities

Mr C,

Although the weather was appalling during our week at Steppe Haugh, we had a wonderful time, which was helped by the beautiful cottage. It is incredibly comfy and relaxing. It was great to have an en suite in each room, as we had four teenagers and three grown up with us. The central situation of the cottage is perfect for exploring and a lot of famous sites are a decent walk away. Would truly recommend anyone to stay in Steppe Haugh.

Mrs S,

This beautiful, quirky home was a pleasure to spend time in. It genuinely felt like home only with more kitchen utensils! We had everything we could possibly ask for. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and would highly recommend. We definitely hope to return.

Mrs P,

Wonderful place, perfect location and plenty to do in the area
