Reviews

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable week staying in the cottage! The owner was so welcoming and helpful with local tips and had kindly left a bag of goodies for us! There is plenty of space. Everything had been thought of that you could possibly need- eg loads of equipment in the kitchen- and plenty of storage in the bedrooms. Beds very comfy. It was also lovely and warm when we arrived, and it is well heated. Plus we enjoyed the novelty of lighting a cosy fire every night! We would definitely recommend Foss Garth cottage. There is a pub and shop across the road, and we recommend Hawes as a pretty town with plenty of little shops and cafes, a ten minute drive. Strongly recommend the Wendsleydale Creamery if you like cheese, we bought several varieties which were reasonably priced and delicious. Lots and lots of great walks nearby and the dramatic waterfalls in nearby Keld. Thank you to Pauline for a lovely stay.

Mr S,

Just returned home from a fabulous stay in Foss Garth cottage. Perfect location for unwinding and relaxing. Love the patio area. We found the cottage to be very very clean and comfortable. It's extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need. A true Dales cottage with busting character. Charming, will be returning the Autumn/winter time. Didn't want to leave!

Past Customer,

We had an excellent break. Equipment - Oven - Through repeated cleaning the temperature markings on the control knobs had been cleaned off. So cooking was a bit by guesswork. Also the oven door did not shut easily. Television - the screen was covered in sticky fingerprints.

Mr Philip T,

Just spent a lovely week in Thwaite. Foss Garth was everything we expected; warm, cosy (log fires) and plenty of room for a family of 5 and 2 dogs! It's perfectly located for access to the incredible walks in and around Swaledale. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to true Dales experience.

Mr M,
