Description

Silver Fern is a cosy cottage sleeping three, situated just off the Shawl in Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales. It is a superb holiday cottage, full of character and furnished to a high standard.  The kitchen is well-equipped with a double Belfast sink and granite worktops. The lounge benefits from comfortable seating, a woodburning stove, beamed ceilings and oak furniture.  Upstairs the master bedroom benefits from a King-size bed and Willis & Gambier furniture. The second bedroom has a large single bed.  Silver Fern is within walking distance of the Wensleydale steam railway, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants in this popular market town.

 GROUND FLOOR: 
Entrance:  Door to lounge
Lounge: TV with Freeview, DVD, comfortable seating, bookcase, coffee table, stone fireplace housing woodburning stove (welcome pack of fuel provided), beamed ceiling.
Kitchen/Diner: Electric induction hob, oven, grill, microwave, double Belfast sink, dining table and chairs, granite worktops, tiled flooring, door to back patio area.
Outside Utility room: Washing machine, tumble dryer. 

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: King-size bed, wardrobes, dressing table.
Bedroom 2: One step down, large single bed, hanging space, chest of drawers.
Bathroom: P shaped bath with shower over, washbasin, toilet.

Pets: Two dogs welcome.
Parking: Free parking on the road opposite the property and on the market square car park 0.1 Miles away, except for Friday's which is market day, alternative free parking is available every day of the week on Grove Square opposite the Police Station.
Heating: Gas central heating, woodburning stove.
Garden/Patio:  Paved area with furniture to the rear of the property.
Short Breaks: Accepted all year round.
Notes: Towels are provided. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. No smoking at this property. Mobile phone signal is variable.  The property has steep stairs with a tight turn, please check suitability before booking.

Perfect cottage for the three of us - we know the Dales well, but had not previously stayed in Leyburn itself - we would definitely stay at Silver Fern again.

Silver Fern is a lovely cosy cottage in a fantastic location. Right in the centre of Leyburn but also a stones throw to the Leyburn Shawl. The cottage is really well equipped and a real home from home. We had a very relaxing Easter break with our 2 dogs and will definitely be back.

A great cottage literally yards from town and pubs/shops.. Superb bed, lots of hot water and a good welcome pack including logs, kindling , tea, milk and coffee. Lovely lounge with a great log burner Walks for our dog 50 yards away and you can go for miles Thoroughly recommend!

Very good little cottage. We enjoyed being so close to Leyburn's amenities. Great meals at the Heifer (again) and the Sandpiper. Superb walks around Semerwater and the Wesley Circuit. Also enjoyed the Herriot museum in Thirsk, Hardraw Force and Dales museum at Hawes. So many walks still left to do, we will be back!

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location. Within 50 metres, you can step onto the Leyburn Shawl, with gorgeous views for miles and extensive walks. Stepping less than 50 metres the other direction, you can walk into Leyburn market square, with an exceptional Campbells supermarket, plus other shops, pubs and restaurants. It truly was a great spot, and the cottage is clean, very comfortable and perfect for a short getaway. We took our dog, so very handy to be so close to the Shawl to stretch her legs and such a beautiful hiking region.
