Reviews

Very well equipped. Wanted for nothing. Warm, very clean. Extremely friendly and helpful owner who advised on where to walk locally. Beautiful surrounding and so quiet.

Mrs C,

Lovely cottage well equipped and great location and just what we wanted. Hostess was very welcoming and helpful.

Mr S,

Valley View is a special place to spend a few days - we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking through the empty fields and tracks. Everything was at hand to cook a full meal. All very comfortable. My dog and I would love to return.

Mrs B,

Remote rural location means true peace and quiet, which is what we were looking for. Very friendly owner, cottage was well furnished and modern inside. The nearest village shop in Barham is about 3 or 4 miles away but quite well.stocked. We really enjoyed our time chilling at Valley View, totally recommended

Mrs M,

Perfect location, perfect accommodation, Scarlett Stevens is a welcoming host. We'll certainly be back.

Mr P,

We enjoyed a beautiful fortnight in the charming and clean Valley View. The view from the house is special and spectacular. Waking up in the morning and seeing the view from the terrace is so beautiful and peaceful. Nature is amazing in this part of England. We will never forget your homemade banana and walnut cake and we fell in love with Goodnestone House and Gardens – the garden with all the white and colourful flowers and its sensational scents. It is like a fairy tale to take a walk there.

Past Customer,

A perfect cottage in an amazing area! We stayed here with 4 adults and 2 medium sized dogs and this was no problem. The kitchen is fully equipped and the cottage is super clean. Scarlett advised on a nice route we could walk from the cottage, we recommend to do this walk :) We have fallen in love with the garden of England for sure!

Mrs H,

The price was unclear and did change every time. That was annoying. The owner/host of the property was very kind and charming, with lots of suggestions for trips in the environment.

Mr Willem H,

A wonderful location - what views to wake up to ! A wonderful host - thank you Scarlett, your welcome (when you didn’t know our arrival time!) was lovely after a tiring journey. Despite the weather (but it is England in March!) we’ve packed a lot into our all too short stay. An idyllic retreat to return to after busy days. Would recommend the English Heritage and “overseas visitors pass” – excellent value for money and spoilt for choice over where to go next! We would love to return and to see the cottage and its surroundings in different seasons.

Mr Guy H,

We had a wonderful holiday at Valley View. The property was perfect for us & very well equipped with everything we, including our dog, could possibly need. It was warm, comfortable and clean. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, who gave us a very warm welcome and ensured we had all we needed. Valley View is beautifully situated at the head of the valley with wonderful views and walks straight from the property on to lanes and into the woods. We will be very happy to return and to recommend Valley View to others.
