Description

Cross Farm Cottage is a delightful cottage sleeping five people and three dogs in the centre of the vibrant village of Braunton and within walking distance of all the restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. Located at the end of a row of similar cottages on the site of a former farm, it benefits from an enclosed lawned garden, spacious living room and adaptable sleeping arrangements. A light and airy hallway leads into the modern kitchen/breakfast room which has a slate floor and dining area. The cosy living room has comfy seating and is full of character with an original clome oven (bread oven) in the thick wall and an ornamental fireplace. The owners have put a great deal of thought into providing as much as possible for families and have included a 42” flat screen television and PlayStation 3 in the lounge and a barbecue in the garden. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The large master bedroom has a super king-sized bed with a leather headboard and good quality furniture and TV, whilst the second bedroom (which is slightly smaller) consists of twin beds. Both of these rooms have zip ‘n’ link beds enabling guests to have either super king or twin bedded rooms (please advise when booking). The third bedroom has a single bed. Outside, Cross Farm Cottage has two allocated parking spaces and a flat, lawned garden with patio area.  The garden is fenced off to enable groups with young children or dogs to feel re-assured that it is safe. There is a large shed in the garden providing plenty of storage space for wet suits, surf boards, dog equipment or pushchairs. Cross Farm Cottage is in a great location right in the centre of Braunton and is just a short drive away from Saunton Sands and Croyde and their beautiful beaches.  The Tarka Trail which follows the route of the old railway line is within easy walking distance of the property and is popular with cyclists and walkers.

Loved the house,location great but a little noisy due to traffic on main road and pub at closing time.All the issues were obvious from other reviews so we were fully aware before we booked. Great house for 2 couples and dogs…parking and bike storage a real bonus.Appreciated being provided cleaning materials etc to keep cottage tidy.
