Blaxhall is a charming village, well situated as a base from which to explore some of the loveliest parts of Suffolk. It has a large common, a church and a popular pub. There are many local footpaths for ramblers to enjoy and it is an ideal centre for walking and cycling. The village is well located with the seaside town of Aldeburgh only a short drive away, as is the unspoilt village of Orford with its magnificent castle and riverside quay. Blaxhall is only a few minutes drive from Snape with its renowned concert hall, restaurants, galleries and shops. There are several RSPB reserves nearby including the highly regarded Minsmere.

Reviews

Had a very nice stay here for a week - 4 adults, 2 children & 2 dogs. It’s in a quiet, secluded location within a small village and is great for country walks and there’s a lovely traditional pub within a couple of minutes walk too. No local grocery shops but Saxmundham is a very short drive away with Tesco, Waitrose and an amazing butchers in the high street. Snape Maltings is also only a few minutes drive away, and we were able to visit a lot of other Suffolk attractions from here without travelling for more than 30 minutes.
