Description
Cosy Cottage is a traditional cottage in a quiet historic part of Braunton within easy reach of the centre of the village. A sympathetic renovation blends original features with modern contemporary luxuries. There is hanging space in the hall and the lounge/diner has an attractive inglenook fireplace with a modern woodburner. The kitchen has been carefully designed to make the best use of limited space. A pristine family bathroom is also on the ground floor with two stylish and spacious bedrooms upstairs. Out back is an enclosed courtyard with patio furniture ideal for al fresco dining. There is a further area of sloping lawned garden up 33 steps Only first few steps are steep the remaining graduate up the slope gently, there is a second decked sun terrace with distant estuary views. Braunton has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. The nearest beach is Croyde, which has one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term.
