Description
Cider Pound is one of four beautifully renovated stone cottages situated in the middle of stunning countryside on the edge of Exmoor National Park in the small hamlet of Cove. Restored to a high standard from original farm buildings using ECO friendly under floor heating, each cottage is slightly different and benefits from its own private patio with outside furniture and the use of a utility room with washing machines and tumble dryer. They all overlook a beautifully lawned garden with well-stocked flowerbeds and a special touch is the use of a shared outdoor Jacuzzi Spa Pool. The cottages are found down a single partly made lane next to the main farmhouse. Cider Pound is the only cottage sleeping 4 people (the others accommodate 2) and has a lovely open-plan lounge/ kitchen/diner with comfortable seating, a 40” television with Freeview and a modern, well-equipped kitchen. A useful cloakroom completes the accommodation downstairs. Upstairs, both bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite shower rooms – making this cottage perfect for couples who wish to holiday together. Outside, there is ample parking, a level lawned garden and of course the shared jacuzzi, which is available from the end of March to the end of October, plus Christmas and New Year. Stunning countryside walks are available from the Farm whilst the small town of Bampton is just three miles away and has a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The larger town of Tiverton is a 10 minute drive away. Here you can also visit Bickleigh Mill for shopping and refreshments and which also houses an 18th century watermill. The famous Tiverton canal and National Trust owned Knightshayes are also easily accessible from here.
