Description

The Coach House is over a hundred years old and is full of character situated in a much sought-after location within Dunwich. The ground floor was originally two stables and the original floor bricks are still present. The property boasts fantastic views over the marshes and sea and is located only a short walk away from the beach. The Coach House is an ideal base for an idyllic holiday and offers private parking and also a large garden with a barbecue to enjoy. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 50 yards.

GROUND FLOOR
Dining Room: Table and chairs, iPod dock.
Kitchen: Leisure Range double electric cooker with five ring gas hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher.
Utility Room: Fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer.
Conservatory: Seating, marsh views.
Bedroom 2: Double bed.
Bathroom: Bath, washbasin and wc.

FIRST FLOOR
Sitting Room: TV, DVD, French doors, marsh and sea views (open staircase with bannister).
Bedroom 1: King size bed and En-Suite Shower Room with shower cubicle, washbasin and wc.
Bedroom 3: Twin beds. (Double Bedding is available as can be pushed together to make a king)
Bedroom 4: Single bed (with pull-out option to make two single beds - please specify your preference at the time of booking).
Shower Room: Shower cubicle, washbasin and wc.

Garden: Large garden with grass, decked area and barbecue. Trampoline (with enclosure).
Parking: Private for three cars.
Heating: Oil heating.
Pets: Three well-behaved pets welcome.
Notes: Wi-fi, bed linen and towels provided, Wii console with games and luxury Elsyl toiletries provided. Travel cot and highchair available to use. Please be aware there is no balcony outside the French doors from the sitting room. There is an open staircase with a banister from the ground floor leading directly to the Sitting Room.

Dunwich is an unspoilt coastal village with a mainly shingle beach. The Ship Inn serves good meals as does the Beach Cafe which is well known for its fish and chips - enjoyed best on the beach. Dunwich adjoins Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve, Dunwich Heath (cliff top is National Trust owned) and Minsmere RSPB is only three miles by foot. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both ten miles away. Trains and buses can be found four miles away at Darsham.

Dunwich is a wonderful Suffolk village. The Coach House suited our dog family very well and truly is a dog friendly cottage (many holiday cottages say they are, but aren't once you arrive. Enjoyed our stay, thank you.

The cottage was very warm and comfortable and in a good location for winter walks. Pity that there was no woodburner or open fire but overall a well equipped cottage. It would be a bit cramped for 8 people but for two couples it was just right

The Coach House, Dunwich, is a superb property. It is very well laid out with two reception areas in addition to the dining room and kitchen. With a 4th bedroom downstairs it is easy to accommodate grandparents on a family holiday. Provision in the property is very generous (it felt as if the owners were sharing their property rather than simply running a business) and the owners have thought of everything, including for dog owners (which we are not). The location is excellent and the house is full of charm. We would strongly recommend this property and hope to return in due course for a third visit.

Our party comprised three generations of a family - grandparents with flat coated retriever plus son, daughter in law and two grandchildren age 15 and eleven plus their little Maltese terrier. We were lucky to have good weather during our stay but really every one of our party found the house, garden and location perfect: well equipped, comfortable and with a great beach and excellent walks on the doorstep.

The Coach House is in a perfect location for the beach, Pub and endless well maintained footpaths through woods and nature reserves. The house is very well equipped, warm, clean and comfortable. The garden is large and secure - perfect for our dogs. Thoroughly recommended!

Superb accommodation in a fantastic location in Dunwich. Only a few hundred yards to the beach and the local pub. The Coach House was both stylish and well equipped, with fantastic views from the first floor lounge. The large garden and drive way are both secure and dog friendly. Absolutely delighted with our stay, and we hope to return in the future.

The coach house is ideally situated if you are looking for peace and quiet and idyllic walks on the doorstep. Extremely dog friendly with a great sized garden for them to run around in. We must be in double figures for our visits here and have already booked next year, Dunwich is a slice of heaven and the coach house is perfect for families and pets (the dogs never want to leave) we are already looking forward to returning.
