Description
Heron's Haunt is based in the rural village of Rattery just outside of South Brent in South Devon. Rattery has an abundance of countryside walking paths and is within a short walk of Rattery village which houses a village shop (open every Tuesday), pick up some essentials like a loaf of bread, milk and biscuits. The Church House Inn, a characterful country pub serving a high quality menu with great attention to detail and offers a wide selection of local ales, ciders and wines. Lastly, the village hall hosts a range of events for you to enjoy whilst you're on holiday, like village fundraisers, music and dance nights and craft activities. Heron's Haunt offers guests the best of both worlds, fully immerse yourself in the relaxation sensation that a countryside location can offer however, in less than 5 miles get back to the hussle and bussle of a town and visit Totnes and Dartington for some adventure, retail therapy and food.
Heron's Haunt is a luxurious semi detached property based a mile from the main village of Rattery. The family have taken great care in providing everything a family looks for when booking a self catering property and have worked their creative magic to make handcrafted pieces throughout the property. They have also used wood throughout the property from the famous Dartmouth Lower Ferry when the slipway underwent restoration works, it looks fantastic. The property offers parking for four to five vehicles with a large amount of outside space specifically designated to the guests with their own paved terrace at the rear of the property with a barbeque and outside seating along with a grass garden. Large open spaces make up the living, dining and kitchen area along with a cloakroom, ground floor bedroom and ensuite. The first floor is made up of three bedrooms, one with ensuite and a family bathroom, and an extra room storing the baby friendly equipment.

Parking - Parking is private to Heron's Haunt, there are between four to five spaces depending on vehicle size. Parking is directly in front and to the side of the property.
Changeover Day: Friday
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £350, which is payable to Original Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent. Heated towel rails in bathrooms.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels). Please let us know during the booking process if you would like the twin beds made up as Super-Kings.
Baby Equipment: Travel cot (bedding not provided), high chair, stair gates, provided. Other equipment not provided, please bring your own.
Shop: 1 ml (village shop, every Tuesday) Pub: 1 ml (The Church House Inn)
