Description

Oyster Cottage blends all modern conveniences with the property's old world charm and was completely redecorated in 2018. It was built in the 17th century by French Huguenots fleeing France in the 1690s from religious persecution. The beams would have been recycled from old boats which was common practice at the time. Oyster Cottage is ideally situated just yards from the seafront and High Street. It provides a wonderful retreat all year round, and has the added benefit of a courtyard garden. Shop: 100 yards Pub: 100 yards.

Why we love this property
Oyster Cottage truly is cute-as-a-button. It has been lovingly refurbished to provide all the comfortable mod-con's a 21st century holidaymaker could desire.

Reviews

Excellent accommodation and as described when booking.

Mr W,

Very quaint but well appointed 2 bedroom cottage. Lovely feel inside and superb location for the High St and the beach. We loved out stay and would gladly return. Car parking is not available directly outside but there are plenty of streets close by to use. We didn't have a problem. Might be a bit more of a challenge in the Summer Hols. If you stay - go to the Sole Bay Inn for the best Scampi or Fish and Chips known to man....

Mr G,

Had a lovely stay at Oyster cottage . It is beautifully furnished, was warm and cosy and in a great location. The treats left for us and our dog Remmy were a wonderful surprise. Would definitely book again .

Mrs W,

Oyster Cottage is a Fabulous characterful cottage in the heart of Southwold, but still very quiet and peaceful. We all loved it and can’t wait to stay there again.

Mrs H,

Great location. Extremely well equipped cottage. A home from home !
