Description

This Grade II listed barn dates back from the 17th century and has been cleverly converted to create a modern and spacious holiday home, yet managing to retain its character and charm. It has a part-vaulted ceiling in the main living area and is heavily beamed throughout.  It is located a few miles from the pretty village of Egerton and sits along side the owners' home in their well-tended gardens.   The barn can sleep up to 6 guests and has a ground floor twin bedroom with the family bathroom next door.  There are two further double bedrooms on the first floor, one with an en-suite shower room. The third bedroom is a mezzanine room which as its name indicates, has an open ceiling. The interior is stylish and spacious with two sets of double glass doors giving it a light and airy feel.  The outside area is to the front of the barn and has its own private patio and lawned area.  Shop: 2.5 miles  Pub:2.5 miles  Coast: 24 miles

Out and About:
Located 2.5 miles from the pretty village of Egerton, which has a shop and a post office.  There is a Sainsbury's 3 miles away in Headcorn and a mainline station to London and the coast.  Pubs nearby include the Smarden Bell (2.5 miles), Three Chimneys, Biddenden (6 miles) and The Milk House, Sissinghurst (9 miles).  Places to visit include Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, Hole Park Gardens, Bodiam Castle (17 miles).  There is a golf course at Chart Hills, Biddenden and Hythe beach is 24 miles away.  There is also coarse fishing at Sam's Lakes (2 miles). Tenterden has a tree lined high street offering restaurants, cafes and pubs, a swimming pool and is home to the Kent and East Sussex Railway.  There are also several vineyards offering tours and tastings; Chapel Down, Hush Heath and Gusbourne.  Also within easy reach is Bewl Water, perfect for walking and cycling and Bedgebury Forest with a Go Ape for the more adventurous.
