Description

There could not be a better view of the East Lyn River in Lynmouth than from the balcony of Aberlyn – a beautifully presented, contemporary two-bedroomed, two shower room apartment. This top floor apartment has a panoramic view from its balcony of the valley and the river below and it’s easy to imagine sitting there enjoying the tranquillity after a day exploring North Devon and Exmoor. Aberlyn has a private entrance at the back which is accessed via a short path and a couple of steps. Once inside, you are immediately drawn to the bi-folding doors in the large open plan living/dining/kitchen area which open out onto the balcony. The living area is beautifully furnished and benefits from a woodburner which has a complimentary supply of logs upon arrival, whilst the modern kitchen/dining area is great for meals with family and friends. Both of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms – one bedroom has a superking, whilst the other has twin beds. Outside, there is a private parking space in the lane next to the path leading to the apartment. The centre of Lynmouth with its wide variety of harbourside restaurants, shops and pubs is a few minutes’ walk down the hill. A slightly longer walk to the east will take you to Watersmeet, a dramatic river gorge where the East Lyn River and Hoar Oak Water merge, just over one and a half miles from Lynmouth. Once a fishing lodge, Watersmeet House is now owned by The National Trust, and has over 2,000 acres to explore. Following your walk why not sit, relax and enjoy the gardens surrounding the house, sample a Devon cream tea or look around the gift shop. At certain times of the year, you can canoe or fish for salmon or trout from Watersmeet House.
