Reviews

Everything about the house was outstanding!

Mr B,

The house was even better than we had expected .. absolutely perfect for 6 adults, 2 teenagers, an 8 year old and 1 well behaved dog. The occasion was an important family one … my 80th birthday(!), so a delicious roast dinner was prepared and cooked in the amazingly well-equipped kitchen, by 1 couple with assistance from extra hands for peeling etc. Those in the house, as well as further family of 5 adults and a 4 and 2 year old, staying nearby all ate comfortably in the dining room and breakfast area. There was an enormous amount of space for children to play safely, or watch tv, allowing the adults to relax and thoroughly enjoy themselves. The weather was chilly but bright and we all walked to the Harbour Inn along the beach, dunes and track, as well as exploring the town. The house was ideally situated a short walk from everywhere .. the pier, the beach and the shops. Perfect in every way. We will definitely come to Southwold House again and have already recommended it to several friends. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to share your magnificent property!

Mrs G,

There is nothing negative to say about Southwold House! It's a beautiful house with comfortable furnishings throughout and set in a perfect location close to the sea. It's a large house and we were concerned it would feel a bit chilly for a winter break however we were all very cosy and comfortable. All six bedrooms were of a good size with comfortable beds etc. The kitchen is well stocked and a great sociable area, we made a full roast dinner with no problem at all. There are 3 other downstairs living areas and we made use of all of them. I would definitely return to this property.

Ms S,

A wonderful family stay in Southwold House to celebrate our retirement. The house is amazing, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and all such high quality. So much space, even with 5 adults, 2 teens,3 younger children and a dog! Just steps away from the promenade and a couple of minutes walk to the High street, the location is perfect. Highly recommended.

Mrs B,

4 generations of family coming together from around the world. Southwold a perfect spot for young and old and the house was ideal too. Spacious with lots of rooms to get away when needed but also large sitting room, kitchen and dining room when we were all together. Smart, well located and friendly house. Perfect for our weeks holiday en famille!

Mr R,

I booked Southwold House to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends. We have been coming to Southwold nearly every year since 2011 and Southwold House is the best accommodation we've experienced. In an excellent location, it is very well appointed and equipped, with plenty of room for all.

Mr Q,

Great property and would highly recommend it to friends

Mrs Glynis W,

A lovely warm, well appointed house which has accommodated nine adults in great comfort. Shae the weather couldn't be as warm and welcoming. Enjoyed some lovely meals out in Walberswick at The Bell and at The Crown in Southwold. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I enjoy our annual visit to Southwold, this year's was made even more memorable by our stay in Southwold house. Everything about the house is really great. The decor is beautiful, enhanced by the attention to detail, lots of pictures etc. The large kitchen, very well equipped. Very comfortable lounge plenty of seating. The master bedroom is delightful, so spacious, and well appointed. Every room is furnished to a high standard. Bedding is very good, lovely, good sized soft towels. We all loved the house, definitely the best we have stayed in over the last 20 odd years and hope to return next year.

We have just returned home after a lovely week in Southwold House with our large family including two children. It certainly lived up to the description on the website! It's a beautiful property with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms with excellent bedding and towels and in an enviable position close to the seafront, beach and town centre.
