Lyng is a rural village situated in the heart of Norfolk. It is part of The Wensum Valley, named after the river, which flows through the picturesque countryside and provides excellent fishing opportunities. Horse riding and a country club with indoor bowls are available in the village, which also has a shop and a pub. The area is great for both cycling and walking, with a network of country lanes, and Sparham Pools Nature Reserve is close by and provides excellent walks and bird watching. The fine city of Norwich is just thirteen miles away and there are many attractions in the area to suit all ages.

Reviews

The owners were fantastic

Mr W,

Wonderful cottage. Owner was very kind and helpful - also left us some tea and biscuits to start our holiday. Beautiful house and very good for those with mobility issues.

Mr F,

As a wheelchair user it can be hard to find suitable places to stay with my family of four. This cottage was perfect for my needs and provided a wonderful base for us to stay during an extended family reunion in the area. We found many wheelchair-friendly activities and eateries in the area too, including Sandringham, Cromer, Norwich Cathedral and Pensthorpe. Pubs can be hot or miss for a wheelchair user, so I would particularly like to call out the Honingham Buck and The Lodge for excellent accessibility.

Ms R,

This property is set in some great countryside with some good pubs and cafes close by (Fox at Long Lemon, Rosemary Yard at Elsing and the Lodge at N Tuddenham); being not far from the A47 it was easy to get into Norwich and to the North Norfolk Coast. We really appreciated the warm welcome from the owner and her family.

Mr R,

Boiler broke down within 4 hours of arrival - no heating! Needs a dishwasher
