Description
Bay House is a fantastic holiday home and presents beautifully. The front entrance leads to the lengthy hallway where there is storage for coats and shoes and wooden flooring is provided throughout the ground floor. The sitting room has large windows giving an abundance of natural light into the room. The lounge offers ideal flexibility for all with two areas which can be separated using the folding doors in the centre or open up the doors for one large room for everyone to socialise together. The area to the front of the property has soft furnishings for six people and a wood burner for those cosy winter breaks. The colours of browns and blues gives it a modern look and the rug adds to comfort underfoot. The additional area has a 42-inch television and a decorative fire place. A large comfortable corner sofa is provided with side tables and lamps. From the hallway you will also find the kitchen and dining area, a lovely space with the kitchen area providing a Rangemaster along with a range of appliances and the owner has even provided a selection of cook books, a perfect way to enhance your self catering experience. The window overlooks the rear garden with a patio area and a slightly raised area with a fruit tree and decorative stone. The dining area has a spacious table for eight people with five chairs and settle style bench seating fixed to the wall with padded seating. A side table with a large mirror above is provided and a side door goes onto the pathway leading to the rear garden. Heading upstairs the first floor has wooden flooring throughout along with a double bedroom and a spacious king size bedroom with large windows bringing in an abundance of natural light. A shower room is on this floor and a ‘wow’ bathroom which is spacious and offers a roll top bath in the centre of the room along with a shower cubicle also provided allowing versatility for all. You will find a small twin room with eves on the second floor and a double room which also has two soft chairs and a small table by the window. All rooms have ample storage for belongings. Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!
