Description

Originally a stone built barn used for stabling working horses it has been used since the 1830's. Now fully refurbished and extended The Hemmel offers luxury accommodation with a huge amount of space on two levels. An open plan spacious kitchen dining area with ceiling beams, and in the lounge traditional arched windows, and a picture patio door overlooks farmland, to the sea and the Farne Islands. A mix of quality tiled floors to the ground floor and sumptuous carpets upstairs, provides a warm welcome, along with every modern convenience tucked away behind the traditional styled wooden doors throughout, and beautifully styled kitchen units. Three lovely first floor bedrooms offer sleeping for six. With an ensuite shower-room the master bed can be made up as a super king double or a twin, a second double bedroom and a further Super king/Twin room, share access to the main bathroom with its pristine white suite - large bath below a window looking out to sea, a walk in shower, basin and toilet. Heating is underfloor and a traditional wood burning stove in the lounge proffers the ideal for cosy retreat for autumn and winter breaks. The pretty enclosed garden & patio area is on the seaward side of the property. Two, off road parking spaces are offered. Sorry no pets or smoking.

• If you wish to accommodate more than 6 people, the neighbouring Stables spaciously sleeps 2, Steading Cottage sleeps 4, and opposite the Cartshed also sleeps 4
