This gem of a property may be in a quiet North Norfolk village, but that doesn’t mean that there’s little to do in Burnham Deepdale. A gallery, café and boutique shops create a classy ambience, with a bike hire outlet offering the chance to get out and explore this gorgeous region further. Within walking distance is the adjacent village of Brancaster Staithe – its two pubs are renowned for their superb food and ales – or pick up the Norfolk Coastal Path to spend a day on Brancaster beach. During Summer months departing from Burnham Overy Staithe, a short distance from the property is a ferry to Scolt Head Island, an offshore sand barrier offering beach, dunes, terrific birdlife – including a world-renowned tern population – and a wonderful sense of seclusion.
You enter the property from the rear garden into the oak-floored hallway, from where you can access the bright, double-aspect lounge. Sea grass flooring (under-heated, of course) and a wood burner ensure warmth even on the coldest of evenings, while two large sofa's and an armchair are deep enough to sink into after a day’s sightseeing. The large kitchen/diner really is something – stone flooring, a conservatory-style dining area overlooking the garden and a table seating up to six make this a naturally convivial space. Kitchen facilities include an electric double oven, hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, while a utility room off the kitchen is home to washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. The second-floor accommodation includes three beautifully furnished bedrooms: one master king-size with en-suite shower room and WC and another king-size both with distant sea views and a spacious twin. The bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower, hand basin and WC.
Outside space comprises a small border garden at the front, while the rear garden – mainly lawn and a paved patio – is fully enclosed by a wall. A BBQ offers ample opportunity for dining alfresco. There is off-road parking for two cars.
