Beach Plaice welcomes up to two well behaved non-shedding dogs @ £25.00 per dog per week or part thereof. When you book you will be asked to provide some information about your pet which will aide the owner in ensuring that the property is set up to welcome them.

  • Your pet should not be left in the property unattended (unless crated - crates can be hired - see what can be arranged on the main description tab)

The owners have thought of everything, including a well equipped kitchen, utility room and extremely comfortable living spaces. Having two ensuite bedrooms this property is ideal for two families or grandparents. Would highly recommend this property.

Fantastic property! I can’t rate it highly enough. A beautiful large house which was perfect for us and our 4 teenagers and dog. Everything was spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped. Kitchen and bathrooms were all superb. The location is ideal with the beach right across the road and a 5 minute walk into the town. Another bonus is the Beach House hotel next door which has a lovely bar with great views out to see and the Farne Islands. Couldn’t ask for anymore and would recommend to anyone.

Communication was good. The welcome pack offered by Original Cottages was very poor. And not at all welcoming. We were a party of 7, were provided with 2 x 97 mls of milk ( 27 mls each!) we were provided with 3 packs of toiletries , which contained the tiniest bottles possible and a miniature soap,. A simple offering of locally sourced Bread, Milk, butter and eggs would have been much more welcoming and better for the environment . Check in was after 4pm, it would have been nice if the heating had been on when we arrived as it was 31/3 and the house was very chilly

  • Try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or
  • the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break).
