Description

Collection of 3 beautiful North Wales self catering cottages for up to 16 guests on a family farm on the Llyn Peninsula. Central to all beaches & attractions and with its own enclosed, large garden with BBQ facilities, swings, trampoline a football goal and more. Enjoy the furnished patio areas - ideal for communal alfresco meals or for relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Perfect for an extended family or group get-together.

This property is made up of three self-catering cottages which can be booked individually or part of this group. Take a look at Llofft Llyn (sleeps 4), Stabal y Sarn (sleeps 5) and Ysgubor Llyn (sleeps 7) for more information on each individual cottage.

Cottage 1 - Ysgubor Llyn (sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms: 1 king, 1 twin, 1 with three single beds)

Ground Floor

The largest of the three North Wales self catering cottages, Ysgubor Llyn is tastefully decorated throughout with many original beams and open stone walls. The open plan living area includes a lounge with two comfortable sofas, an electric fire stove, TV with video and DVD player and CD/Hifi system. The beautiful, fully equipped oak kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave and small freezer.

Bedroom 1: Downstairs bedroom with twin beds and ensuite level entry shower room, suitable for disabled guests.

Upstairs
Bedroom 2: Third, large bedroom with a fantastic king size 4 poster bed.

Bedroom 3: Spacious bedroom with 3 single beds plus a combined TV/DVD.

The luxury bathroom has a shower and a large whirlpool type bath - perfect for relaxing!


Cottage 2 - Stabal y Sarn (sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 with a double and single)

Ground Floor
The second largest cottage, Stabal y Sarn, also features an open plan living area with a double height lounge, beams and exposed stone walls. The cosy lounge offers an inviting comfy fabric sofa with two luxurious leather arm chairs, TV and DVD player, CD/HIfi system. Beautiful, fully equipped painted kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge, induction hob and single oven, with granite worktop. Painted round farmhouse dining table for 5, and a small counter top size freezer in the cupboard under the stairs.


Bedroom 4: Beautiful cream 4 poster double bed with ensuite facilities on the ground floor. The ensuite has a shower cubicle and a large whirlpool type bath - great to relax in.

The cottage is suitable for the infirm who can cope with a few outside steps.

Upstairs
Bedroom 5: Upstairs is a cosy second bedroom with a double and single bed, as well as a newly refurbished, private shower room.


Cottage 3 - Llofft Llyn (sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk)
Upstairs (First Floor Apartment)

This third of three North Wales self catering cottages is an open beamed, first floor apartment with a spacious L-shaped living room. At one end is a country style fitted kitchen that includes a microwave, electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, pine dining table and chairs. The living area offers a comfortable leather Chesterfield sofa, upholstered wing armchair, with an electric fire in an old cast iron fireplace. All the old beams are left exposed, giving a very light, spacious and comfortable atmosphere. TV, video and DVD player, plus CD/Hifi system included.

Bedroom 6: Double bedroom featuring a Victorian brass and iron bed with new, luxury Egyptian Cotton bedding.

Bedroom 7: Second bedroom with full size bunks.

The shower room provides a top of the range electric shower, stylish vanity units and marble mosaic tiles, plus heated towel rail.

The Garden

Each cottage has its own patio area overlooking the garden. The large extended garden is a fabulous, enclosed communal area for the exclusive use of guests staying at these three North Wales self catering cottages. It includes a gas BBQ set, swings and a football goal, as well as a playhouse / climbing frame with a slide and a fantastic trampoline.

Additional Information

  • Welcome pack includes homemade cakes as well as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, milk and sugar for your arrival.
  • Bedlinen, 1 bath and 1 hand towel per person included. These are for cottage use only, not for the beach.
  • 1 hairdryer per cottage.
  • Oil central heating and electricity included.
  • A travel cot, high chair, and safety gate are also available. (please bring your own linen for the travel cot).
  • Wifi available
  • A separate laundry room is available for the convenience of all 3 cottages and includes a tumble drier, washing machine and a deep freeze.

Location

Located on a family farm, this beautiful collection of 3 North Wales self catering cottages are set in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula. Ideal for an extended family get-together, with plenty to keep the children entertained on site. This includes the large enclosed garden and play areas, as well as a rabbit, cat, dog and a pony on the nearby farm yard and field. Feel free to wonder around or ask the owner for a tour to see the farm and meet the animals.

Only a quarter of a mile from these North Wales self catering cottages is the village of Sarn Mellteyrn with its pottery, tea rooms and two good pubs. There is a shop with post office, and a garage with shop that rents out DVDs in the village, as well as a small playing field which can be reached by a pleasant walk through one of the farm fields.

Abersoch, Aberdaron, Nefyn and all the beautiful sandy beaches of the peninsula are close at hand with the nearest beach being 3 ½ miles away. Walking, golf, sea fishing trips and plenty of water sport facilities are available here. The market town of Pwllheli, the resort of Criccieth and Porthmadog as well as numerous historic and scenic attractions such as the Snowdonia National Park, Ffestiniog Railway, castles and the Italian village of Portmeirion are all easily reached from your North Wales self catering cottages.

Beaches

Central to all beaches on the Llyn Peninsula. The nearest is Traeth Penllech, a long sandy beach that allows you to feel that you really are away from it all. 3.5 miles

Walking

Llyn Coastal Path – 84 miles around the Llyn Peninsula, from Caernarfon to Porthmadog. Join the path 3 miles from the cottage, in Penllech.

Yr Eifl (The Rivals) – Mountain range including the highest point on the Llyn Peninsula. 4.5 miles in length. 12 miles from the cottages.

Watersports

Abersoch beach offers flat water for wakeboarding and waterskiing, sailing, power boating and windsurfing. 6.5 miles

Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth) is a very popular venue for surfers and body boarders. 9 miles

 

Golf

Abersoch Golf Club - 18 hole golf course, adjoining the beach. 6.5 miles

Nefyn and District Golf Club - 26 holes, offering two cliff top 18 hole courses set in spectacular coastal scenery. 7.5 miles

Llyn Golf Centre – Pen-y-Berth. 15 bay driving range, practice green and bunker and 9 hole golf course with sea views. For beginners and advanced players - hire clubs available. 8 miles

Pwllheli Golf Club - 18 hole golf course, suitable for golfers of all ages and abilities. 10 miles.

Horse-riding

Pen Llyn Stud & Riding Centre – Pwllheli. Stud farm and rides for any level of experience. 2.5 miles
