Location

Llwynrhosser is located on the Black Mountain, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The cottage is in the farmyard and adjoins another barn. The barn and cottage are completely separate from the main farm house.

In the National Park the mountains, rivers, waterfalls, castles and caves are ideal for those, who enjoy the fresh air. The area is popular for walking, cycling (road & mountain biking) horse riding and hill running, also just for relaxing and enjoying its natural beauty. The river Sawdde Fechan runs through the farm. Its source is Llyn y Fan, a beautiful lake on the mountain associated with the legend of the lady of the lake, the origins of the physicians of Myddfai. Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales is just 28 miles way.

Red kites frequently soar over the farm and there is a Red Kite feeding centre 3.5 miles away. Also cuckoos can be heard during late spring/early summer. Nuthatches, wood peckers, woodcocks, along with many other different species, happily live within the farm's woodland.

The nearest village is Llangadog (6 miles). Here there are several welcoming pubs, a post office, butchers shop and grocery store. Llangadog is on the Heart of Wales railway line, with a regular train service between Swansea & Shrewsbury.
