Description

A courtyard of four 1 bedroom holiday cottages in the old fishing quarter of Seahouses

Close to the harbour and ideally situated for the amenities of the village, beach walks and other outdoor activities.

Only 50 yards outside the courtyard and you are on the top of the harbour wall, where seating is provided so you can while away the hours watching the toings and froings of harbour life, or stretch your legs on the beautiful beaches which run North and South and are ideal for leisurely walks, or for those more adventurous try the 6 mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, or the 14 mile return journey to Newton by the Sea (great pub awaits for the mid walk break).

The cottage is close to all the village amenities - shops, butchers, bakers (no candlestick maker though!), pubs & restaurants, newsagents, petrol station, library, takeaways, and the harbour where you can leave on excursions to visit the Farne Islands, to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and many other species of birds. Reviews

We stayed for a week but wished we could have stayed forever! Everything at the cottage was great, just as stated - together with a lovely welcome pack. The location was perfect with a fabulous harbour view just around the corner. And to top it off we made a new best friend Alexia, who had exactly the same taste in music as us! We can't wait to visit again next year (or sooner) and would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely holiday :)

Dr T,

The property is smaller than the pictures suggest but is well equipped and clean. The shower is particularly good. The fold-down table is just big enough for two to eat at. The mattress and duvet combination is very warm for summer use. Tha hob is an induction type which confused us to begin with. A larger kitchen bin would help. The courtyard is small particularly with several cars in it. It is a safe area for children which may be useful. A few picnic tables are provided. The harbour is literally 50 paces away.

Dr P,

Overall very pleased with the cottage just a couple of things like the tv,we couldn’t access Netflix or Amazon prime, and the bedroom could have had a bit more space .but we would gladly book it again
