Reviews

Lovely Cottage with very helpful and friendly owners.
e hired an electric day boat on the Brecon canal. Enjoyed visits to the Big Pit and Caves and enjoyed driving the Mountain road for great views.

Family from N,

A lovely cosy cottage with log burner in the middle of nowhere, sheer bliss. A community run pub almost next door that served good food was a bonus. We took our 3 German Shepherds and did lots of walking without having to drive too far. We arrived to some lovely homemade goodies and nice eggs from the free range hens that roamed the garden.

Mrs H,

Highly recommend staying here - very clean comfortable cottage . Hosts were so friendly. Delightful village , beautiful surroundings.

Mr L,

Thank you for our lovely stay. It was our first time in Wales and we enjoyed it very much for all the delicious things on arriving. Mainly because it was all homemade. It was super!!

The scenery here is both beautiful and diverse, ranging from rolling countryside and valleys, to the wild beauty of the waterfalls and caves. To the north is the upland moor of the Epynt military ranges. Within reach of Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark, a landscape sculpted by ice, then transformed by man, Porth yr Ogof cave system, Wales's largest cave entrance is within reach. To the south is Dan yr Ogof Caves, one of Wales’ premier family attractions and was also voted Britain’s finest natural wonder. The scenic Heart of Wales train line stops at Llandovery.

Cultural highlights include the Brecon Jazz Festival in August, the Hay Festival in late May/early June and the Green Man Festival held near Crickhowell in August.
