Description

Leath Barn is a traditional Norfolk barn, which has been sympathetically restored retaining many original features. An easy walk or cycle ride through the rolling farmland that surrounds the property takes you to the little known West Somerton beach or a short drive will take you to the pretty sea side village of Winterton-on-Sea. The area is a haven for birdwatchers; the staithe in the village is an excellent place to observe many species of birds and wildlife, or Martham Broad Nature Reserve, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest is only a short distance from the property. West Somerton is a small broadland village tucked into a quiet corner of East Norfolk, super for all bird-watching enthusiasts! It has been featured in the BBC Coast programme and quoted by Nicholas Crane "as my favourite place on the Norfolk Broads". Certainly West Somerton has one of the prettiest staithes. Families will enjoy days out at the many attractions in the area: try Bewilderwood, great adventure for the children, or a day cruising the Broads. The sandy beaches at Winterton and Horsey are only two miles away, with the bustling seaside resort of Great Yarmouth a little further.
