Hunstanton is a popular Victorian seaside town that extends to the East towards Old Hunstanton where pretty sand dunes decorate the distant shores adjacent to muted shades of decorative beach huts. Best known for its iconic stripy cliffs, sea front villas and the iconic Princess theatre and promenade; a new addition to the town is ‘Henry’s’ Fish & Chip shop with indoor/outdoor dining with a sea view from this new licensed restaurant. A popular pastime with youngsters is rock-pooling at low tide or crabbing, or perhaps a wander along the shoreline to the softer sandy beaches of the more sedate area of Old Hunstanton. Enjoy supper in the large pub gardens and take in the sea views from the Ancient Mariner Inn, popular year round with locals and visitors alike or explore the fine eateries further around the coast towards Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster Staithe. Popular with Ornithologists and a great place to visit, are the RSPB nature reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham, both either side on this spectacular coastline. A little further beyond is the stunning deer park at Holkham estate, visit the 18th Century country house with adventure playground, cycle hire, and, for garden lovers there are beautiful walled gardens to explore.

Reviews

The Seashells is a very nice comfortable apartment which is situated very close to all amenities and a very short walk to the promenade and beach. The balcony with sea views is an added bonus. The people in Hunstanton are very friendly an most shops and pubs a dog friendly. The great public transport links made getting around easy with no need to use the car making it easy to see the beautiful West Norfolk coast.
