With a clifftop promenade and gardens, an award winning Blue Flag beach hugged by beach huts, a church overlooking the sea and one of the smallest maritime museums in the UK, Mundesley is a truly delightful coastal village; when the tide is out the shallow waters and long, sandy beach make this a play haven for young and old alike. The village is picturesque with an old-world charm that features quaint and quirky cottages, some of which host a thatched roof or two. Venture further afield and you can find play barns for the younger members of the family, the Amazona Zoo at Cromer and the historical estates of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, now looked after by the National Trust. For steam railway buffs join the train at Sheringham and enjoy a magical coastal journey to the elegant Georgian town of Holt, with its shops, art galleries and cafe culture or visit the Bure Valley Railway at Aylsham, for a super day trip into The Broads. With so much to do in this lovely region, we don't think one visit to Mundesley is probably going to be enough!

Reviews

This is a fabulous cottage and has the feel of a home from home. It’s very modern in what it provides but manages to feel characterful and cosy. This is our third visit and we love it. It is right in the middle of the village and for us the fact we can get almost anything we need within 2 minutes is amazing, you don’t actually need a car! The beds are extremely comfortable and invite lazy days so we didn’t explore further afield this holiday and just enjoyed the atmosphere of the village, saw family and made the most of staying in such a wonderful cottage, thank you so much.

Mrs W,

Beautifully appointed cottage close to all the amenities and the beach. Very well equipped, warm and cosy.

Mrs S,

A lovely property and location. Very warm and comfortable. Third visit and hopefully be back next year for a fourth.

Mr H,

Exceeded expectations. Spacious, well equipped, warm and spotless. Also lovely village, lots of excellent local shops and a good Pub.

Mr R,

We had a wonderful stay here with two dogs. The house was extremely warm, well equipped, clean & comfortable.

Miss S,

Ivy farmhouse is a lovely house in a great location. It was clean, very well equipped and although large it is very cosy. We will definitely return.

Miss L,

Very comfortable, (lovely bedding & tasteful decor) well situated and well equipped. Had a slight problem with the Wi Fi but it was rectified very quickly after a phone call with number given on the information, efficient service. So convenient having the post office/general store next door …. Oh & lovely dress shop nearby!!!!

Mrs C,

Ivy Farmhouse was perfect, a great location for shops, the beach and places to eat. the cottage was both well equipped and immaculately clean.

Mrs S,

Ivy farmhouse is a lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped house. We were a party of 3 couples, friends for 50 years! And we regularly have holidays together. The house suited us really well and is probably the best house we have stayed in. It is a short walk to the sea and splendid beach, several cafe's are in easy reach. There are a number of good short walks around the village (about an hour) and a good bus service to take in the scenery along the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mrs D,

Beautiful home from home in a wonderful location. Very pet friendly. We had a very relaxing and restorative holiday.

Mrs W,

We loved staying here as the location was perfect for the family and dogs as park and beach just a short walk away. The house was very well furnished and equipped with everything you would need for a holiday home. The garden was a delight and very sunny.

Mrs S,

We loved the house, very well equipped and good location. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom which was great. Although the garden is small, there is a playing field nearby which suited our grandsons and dogs. We’re very pleased to have found this property. We also found a welcome pack on arrival which was a lovely surprise- something for everyone, tea for the adults, Oreos for the children and even treats for the dogs. Thank you.

Mrs K,

We had a lovely week at Ivy farmhouse .The property is exceptionally well looked after and presented .Our dogs loved it and the garden was safe and secure .There is a dog friendly beach within a 6 minute walk ,also many woodland walks and National trust properties to drive to nearby .We would definitely recommend …..

Mrs M,

Beautiful and very comfortable cottage right in the centre of Mundesley - but very peaceful. Welcome bag was a nice surprise. Cottage is 5 mins walk to a lovely beach. Garden is very dog friendly with a sheltered seating area. Mundesley has a nice selection of shops, post office, general stores, great butchers, deli, fish stall, grocers. We would like to come back to Ivy Farmhouse one day.

Mrs W,

Beautiful property very clean everything you need was there. Information on the property was very helpful. Short walk to the beach and pub and shops.

Mrs P,

This property had everything we were looking for, it has been loving made to feel like a home from home, some holiday let's don't have that homely feel, this one did. One major plus for us was that the garden was completely secure, with 3 dogs that was brilliant. We will definitely be looking at going back in the future

Mrs D,

Excellent property that we enjoyed staying in when the weather stopped us getting out. Absolutely everything thought of when equipping the cottage. Thank you for letting us rent your home for a week.
