Docking is a popular spot with visitors to Norfolk, centrally located within easy reach of the magnificent ‘dog-friendly’ beaches at stunning Brancaster just 5 miles away. Sailing enthusiasts may enjoy a trip to neighbouring Brancaster Staithe where dinghy’s can be launched along with the changing tide, perfect for exploring the coastline from the water. For a more sedate afternoon why not visit the renowned White Horse Pub and Restaurant and enjoy breath-taking views across the marshes from the large sun terrace. Sample fresh local produce or the ‘catch of the day’ with fresh fish often on the menu and locally sourced mussels too!  Take a short drive to the nearby village of Burnham Market and enjoy an afternoon’s shopping; with boutique shops, deli’s and fine eateries to explore followed by lunch at the renowned Hoste Arms, with fabulous Spa facilities. Why not book a relaxing treatment with friends followed by a glass of your favourite tipple sat facing the popular village green. A little further around the coast is the popular and picturesque town of Wells-next-the-Sea, practice your crabbing skills with the youngsters and enjoy the view followed by the best fish and chips on the quay from French’s. The whole family will enjoy a trip to the beach, take a stroll along the coastal path or hop aboard the Wells harbour railway where you are rewarded with views of colourful beach huts decorating the shoreline. Wildlife enthusiasts can visit the RSPB at Snettisham or Titchwell Marsh where Egrets and Buzzards are often seen circling the skies, all within easy reach and just a short drive from the cottage.
