Corpusty and its sister village Saxthorpe are linked by the River Bure and are set in the delightful Bure Valley, an attractive area of North Norfolk with meandering country lanes great for walking or cycling in this peaceful part of the county. The elegant Georgian town of Holt is just 7 miles away and a must-go-to for its cafe culture, individual boutique shopping, art and antique galleries and some great independent food shops showcasing the best of Norfolk produce. Nearby seek out Blicking Hall or Felbrigg Hall, both run by the National Trust they are great historic houses with extensive grounds; in the late spring the bluebells in the Great Wood at Blickling are a sight to behold. On the north coast you will find idyllic coastal villages, salt marshes and nature reserves, whilst there don't forget to visit Holkham Hall with its deer park and fascinating history, it also has a fabulous sandy beach with a backdrop of pinewoods, where you can walk for miles. Steam buffs should take a trip to nearby Aylsham to catch a ride on the Bure Valley Steam Railway, which will take you to the heart of The Broads National Park at Wroxham and if you are a culture vulture then you can be in Norwich in half an hour to visit the Cathedral, the Castle, the ancient quarter of Elm Hill and seek out some truly international dining experiences.

Reviews

Beautiful cottage, very clean and well equipped. Extremely comfortable beds. Corpusty is a stunning little village, very quaint. There is a shop immediately next door which was very handy, a nice pub, art gallery and a lovely park opposite the cottage with a nice stream to paddle in. Good location for getting to various beaches. Dogs loved it and so did we. Hope to return soon. Highly recommend.

Miss R,

One of the nicest spots we've stayed at. The upside down arrangement with the kitchen/living space upstairs was an excellent idea, with a view out over the village green. The garage space was superb for storing bikes and kit in a secure area. Will certainly recommend it to cycling friends as a great H. Q. for a holiday on bikes.

Mr John S,

A really lovely cottage, very central for visiting North Norfolk, The Broads and Norwich, we loved the white cotton bedding, and the beautiful view over the village Green.

Previous Customer,

It is located in a pretty village. Lovely view across the green, very welcoming locals. Great welcome pack. Really handy to have a Spar shop next door. Fabulous shower and lovely to have a bathroom with bath. Mattress and pillows a little too soft for our comfort.

Mr W,

Fabulous location for visiting Norfolk, i would recommend going to Holt for the day which is about 10/15 minutes away and then heading onto Sheringham and Cromer for some lovely coastal walks. Thank you for letting us stay.

Mr's P,

We had a lovely time staying here and exploring North Norfolk. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch, thank you! We will certainly be back again.

Previous Customer,

What a fabulous half term stay we have had here with the kids and pippa the dog. The cottage was well equipped and had what we needed for the week. Corpusty is a small village but has a great pub, and is very central to other towns and villages if you dont mind a 10 minute drive. I would recommend going to the pigs in Edgefield for dinner!! Thank you.

Gemma B,

The Old Bakehouse had everything we needed for our stay, and the welcome pack was a great touch when we arrived. We loved exploring Norfolk and especially liked Holt, Wells next to the sea, Holkham and even a good day out in Norwich for shopping. The property is very central and would recommend to anyone. Its also very quiet in the evening which is great.

Previous Customer,

We spent a great week here, and especially loved all the bird watching on the coast down in Cley, Titchwell, Holkham and so on. We also found The Pigs in Edgefield a fantastic pub for evening meals, its only 5 minutes away in the car from the property, so check it out! Thank you for a fab stay.

Sophia and J,

Thank you for a great stay, the welcome pack was a treat. we really enjoyed ourselves and cant wait to come back next year when its warmer.
