Swanton Novers is a small peaceful village that is surrounded by meadows and ancient woodlands.  Two hundred acres of this woodland is managed by English Nature and forms one of the country's most important woodland reserves. The Honey Buzzard is a regular visitor and with a raptor watch point, this could be a birdwatchers heaven! The area abounds with footpaths and quiet country lanes ideal for walking and cycling and the Georgian market town of Holt with its boutique shops, well-known food hall, café culture, art galleries and antique hunting haunts is almost on the doorstep.  A short drive and you are at the coast. Discover the delightful villages of Blakeney, Cley-next-the-Sea and drop in to the village store at Stiffkey for a coffee and some of the best brownies around!  A little further up the coast you will find fabulous sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, backed by pinewoods under huge Norfolk skies.  Whilst here visit Holkham Hall and deer park, the seat of the Earls of Leicester, this beautiful palladian mansion is a site not to be missed. This is a super part of Norfolk for a holiday and one stay here will probably not be enough!

Lovely private and welcoming cottage, located off the beaten track (exactly what we wanted). Clean, honest and just what we wanted. Highly recommended

Mrs T,

The cottage was perfect. Very quiet remote village what we wanted, just the wildlife, occasional car, tractor. Beautifully decorated & comfortable, only complaint was - we had to leave!!

Mrs C,

We had a lovely stay at Baytree Cottage. It was very cozy and comfortable. The location is great for lovely walks and short drives to the magnificent North Norfolk coast and local towns of Holt and Cromer. We’ll definitely return.
