East Runton is a small village and a popular holiday destination, with stunning cliff top views out to the North Sea and a long sandy beach, it’s a great base for exploring the North Norfolk coast. Just 1.5 miles to Cromer and 3 miles to Sheringham, there is plenty to keep you entertained. East Runton is on the coastal path, which starts where Sheringham High Street meets the promenade and ends at Cromer Pier. It’s a picturesque walk along mainly grassy clifftop paths with paved paths along the sea front. For all the foodies, you’ll be perfectly placed to sample the local delights from Cromer crab to Brancaster mussels, artisan cheeses to freshly picked Samphire. Rocky Bottoms, just a 15 minute walk from the Cottage, serves beautifully fresh sea food. The Gunton Arms set in a historic deer park and the Michelin starred Morston Hall are less than half an hour’s drive. The village itself has two pubs, restaurants, several small shops and at low tide there is a wide expanse of flat sand, perfect for walks all year round and is dog friendly too. You won’t have to travel far to make this a holiday to remember.

Reviews

Been here twice this year so far. Loved it so much in June that was had to go back. Perfect location and nice walk to Cromer. Be back again next year.

Ms J,

Fantastic cottage, with everything we could possibly need. Decorated to a high standard with comfy beds, great shower and well stocked kitchen. Very well maintained. Excellent location being just a few minutes walk from the beach. Thanks for a great stay!

Mrs C,

Brilliant location, lovely cottage!

Mr G,

Lovely cottage really cosy

Mrs S,

Silvergate Cottage is charming, deceptively spacious and very well equipped with all mod cons. The decor and furniture are very tasteful and the sofa and beds are very comfortable. Despite being on the main road, there was barely any noise from traffic. The welcome pack was very generous with two bottles of wine and we never ran out of tea, sugar or coffee as the basket was so well stocked. Highly recommend this property.
