The wide open spaces that the coastline enjoys are the setting for some of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see and aside from Snettisham itself, the resorts of Heacham, Hunstanton and Brancaster are all within easy reach, offering sandy beaches, rock pooling and if you are lucky enough, the discovery of a fossil or two! Ornithologists will enjoy the proximity to the RSPB Reserves of both Snettisham and Titchwell and history buffs, the elegant houses of Holkham Hall, Sandringham and Houghton Hall. There is also a deer park and safari to discover at Snettisham Farm and the history of Norfolk Lavendar can be investigated at Heacham.

Reviews

Location of the house is amazing but there were several aspects which we felt really let the property down (and could be easily remedied): 1. ‘Welcome pack’ was milk and packet of biscuits - having stayed in many salt catering properties, we would expect at least a couple of teabags to go with the milk 2. Found old Christmas gift tag down side of sofa - may say something about standard of cleaning 3. Garden furniture was unsafe - 2 cracked plastic chairs and a very rickety and rotting table/bench set, a bit of which broke off when sat on 4. There was only 1 large glass - not sufficient in a cottage housing 4 (we had to take turns in having a drink until we could buy our own glasses) 5. Not much information provided on bins/ recycling 6. TV was very erratic on BBC channels - this may be to do with local signal but think there was also a loose connection on aerial which meant a total loss of signal at times

Mrs Morag C,

Average accommodation bearing in mind the cost. Compared to other sites I have stayed at over the years Lane End was average.
