Larling is a small village twenty one miles south west of Norwich, in an area known as The Brecks. Reputed to be one of the driest areas of the country, here you will find rolling farmland, open heaths and pine forests, much of it designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to rare birds such as the Stone Curlew and Nightjars. Larling is  close to the famous Snetterton Circuit, a must visit place for all motor sport enthusiasts. Also within easy reach are the small market towns of Attleborough and Wymondham, or a little further afield are the beautiful cathedral cities of Norwich and Ely. This is an ideal area from which to explore Norfolk or Suffolk.

Reviews

This was our second stay at the very beautiful and spacious Remus. We are pleased to say it was equally as enjoyable as the first and we can't wait to go back again. The owners are so friendly and welcoming as are their two dogs. There was a generous welcome package and everything we could possibly need for our stay was supplied. We really enjoyed the extensive selection of books, games and puzzles.

Mrs H,

The Old Smithy had everything we needed and more! The property and garden was of a very high standard and the welcome pack was one of the best we've ever had.

Mrs C,

We’ve been coming to Remus for the last 10 years, sometimes twice a year. It’s perfect home from home for us where we can relax in peace and also get out and about to explore. Dudley and Rachel are great hosts, so friendly and always around if you need anything. Great location to visit the Broads and lots of coastal resorts. We especially like Wells Next The Sea and Cromer. Highly recommend staying here.

Miss W,

Remus is a beautiful spacious cottage with lots of original features set in lovely rural and peaceful surroundings. The log burner is a stunning feature, this along with the underfloor heating and heated towel rails in the bathrooms kept the cottage warm and cosy. The friendly welcome from the hosts and their dog, generous welcome pack and all the personal touches around the cottage made our stay a little more special. We look forward to returning.

Miss S,

This cottage is a wonderful find,it is set in a beautiful location in the countryside of Norfolk. The facilities are excellent and everything that you may need during your stay is provided. The host's are extremely welcoming but also very respectful of your privacy.

Mr C,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Remus. The cottage is attractive, comfortable and very well-equipped and the owners (and dog!) were very helpful and friendly. Great location, with lovely views from the cottage.

Mrs H,

The cottage was in a lovely rural area with a beautiful view. Everything was to a high standard and it was well equipped. We very much enjoyed our weekend break.

Mr J,

The owners were very amiable and helpful. The property was very well equipped with everything you could wish for and it was clean. It was situated on a working farm with beautiful views over the meadow to the rear just off the A11. If you want a peaceful, restful stay then this is the place to be. Quite central for the towns and beaches of Norfolk. I would certainly recommend it and would go back.

Mr F,

This is our second visit and we are pleased to say we enjoyed it as much and maybe more than our first visit. We love this property, the area and the friendly owners, we w definitely be back soon.

Mrs B,

A very cosy and quirky property. Lovely location easy access to north and east coast in fact no where is too far you can easily drive to several counties. Owners are very helpful and friendly the horses and other animals are a bonus.

Miss G,

Attractive and very well appointed property - everything you needed and more. Very helpful and friendly owners.

Mr Y,

Quality accommodation

Mr Peter C,

The property is lovely and the owners are very helpful. We have stayed before and have enjoyed every visit immensely

Mrs Anita W,

All as described. Too many reminder emails and texts which didn’t actually give the last minute information which I wanted i.e. number of bathrooms and what is actually provided.

Mrs Amanda H,

Have stayed at this property about 8 times in the past few years. It is a home from home to me. The owners are very friendly and kind, they go out of their way to help.

Mr Hilary E,

Very easy booking system and website clear to use. Useful email and text reminders received at appropriate times. Holiday cottage was a pleasure to stay in and we will definitely be returning customers.

Miss Sarah W,

Lovely cottage. Exactly as described and spotlessly clean.
