Bergh Apton is set amongst rolling countryside and quiet lanes and yet is close to the Broadland village of Loddon.  Equally the Suffolk Coast at Southwold is not too far away as is the fine Cathedral city of Norwich. You couldn't be more central. There is a huge amount to see and do in this area; equally if you wish for peace and solitude with some gentle activity, walking and cycling, then you couldn't be in a better place. The village has a series of interesting local history trails and sits on the River Chet.

Reviews

Mill End is a charming cottage, cosy and clean, perfect for a couple who want peace and quiet yet with good access to Norwich and the many local towns and villages. The owners are perfect, very welcoming on arrival or if you bump into them by the car parking, but in no way intruding on your privacy during your stay.

Mr S,

The holiday exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation was unique, there was everything we needed. Our landlords Tiff and Hugh were exceptionally friendly and accommodating and even provided us with fresh vegetables from their beautiful garden. We were made to feel very welcome. However, there was one difficulty in the travel planning. The official address given is Washingford Farm Mundham Road Bergh Apton Norfolk NR15 1DB. However, when you enter this address into Google maps, it shows a different location in Bergh Apton (Washington House!). This was very misleading. I emailed Original Cottages about this but never got a reply.

Miss Katharina B,

A beautiful well equipped cottage with everything we needed. Outside was a private patio area with access to the owners' beautiful and very large garden with many interesting features. Although the cottage is attached to the owners' house this made no difference to our privacy during the stay. Would recommend as a base for exploring Norfolk/Suffolk.

Mr P,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mill End - Lovely hosts, beautiful gardens & property was everything we wanted. Central for exploring Norfolk and lots of information and advice available - we hope to return soon.

Mrs B,

A perfect little cottage set in beautiful gardens. Equipped with everything you could need and hosts were lovely, welcoming and full of useful information about the area and places to visit
