Holiday Cottages in Cornwall

Cornwall is a county for lovers of culture and countryside, the coast and really great cuisine. It’s the place that sees the sun set and has heritage and ancient history from east to west.

Cornwall is a county of dramatic coastlines and spectacular views. A place where you’re never more than twenty miles from the sea, excellent beaches and pretty fishing villages. In the south you can enjoy sheltered bays, sandy beaches and hidden coves, all with breathtaking views of the English Channel. In the north the seas are rougher and the landscape more dramatic, making it perfect for anyone wanting to have some adventure on their holidays.

But it’s not all about the sea. Inland the diverse landscape includes rolling hills, sparkling rivers and lush valleys, as well as the wilderness of Bodmin Moor. Cornwall’s industrial past can be seen across the county, and has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. It has a food scene to rival London, and a burgeoning arts movement that is drawing people from far and wide.

And being this far south means that Cornwall enjoys the mildest and sunniest climate in the UK, making it a holiday destination for any time of year.

If all that doesn’t make you want to visit the most southerly county in England, then how about being tempted by an array of attractions and places to visit whilst in Cornwall. The Eden Project should be top of anybody’s list when visiting the region, the largest indoor rainforest in the world is a truly unique day out.

Grab a taste of history and heritage on the Cornish coastline at the Minack Theatre and Tintagel Castle. The Minack Theatre is an open-air theatre with regular shows throughout the year, and enjoys a spectacular setting with the crisp blue waters of the sea providing the perfect back-drop for any performance. Tintagel Castle on the other hand is one of the south west’s top attractions. Steeped in legend and mystery dating back to King Arthur, the castle is a must visit if you are on the north coast.
