Reviews

Lovely property close to beach although very steep hill to climb. Near to bus stop and train station. Shops pubs restaurants nearby. Really enjoyed our holiday.

Mrs D,

Lovely spacious and luxurious accommodation well equipped and located. Property was generally clean but could have been more thoroughly cleaned before arrival... For example, couches needed vaccummed as well as outside spaces swept and cleaned. However, this didn't detract from enjoying our stay... also must thank St Ives Holidays for their prompt response when we accidently locked the keys inside the property!

Mr R,

Beautifully appointed house, great location. Varied weather but St Ives nice and quiet still and it didn;t stop us having a lovely week. Visited Porthleven, Marazian and Mousehole. Lovely meals at Amelie and the old coastguard at Mousehole. Very reliable bus service home after a lovely coastal walk through the grounds of Carbis Bay Hotel

Past Customer,

Lovely house and location, everything you could need weather has been kind, 1 day of rain. Would very much like a lift to the beach if possible! Cliff walks great. Hope the summer is kind to you.

Past Customer,

Stunning house in a perfect location. Close to St Ives and on a fab bus route all over. Weather has been amazing all week. Beaches stunning ( quite a walk back up) train was fab too. We have had a wonderful family holiday here - Thank you very much, the best way to celebrate my hubby's 60th birthday.

Past Customer,

Booked house to celebrate my 60th birthday. It has everything you need for a family stay. The cooker hob though was a bit tricky to operate and couldn't find instructions. The walk to the beach by footpath is steep but lovely beach. The walk into St Ives is lovely. We also booked treatment and had dinner at Una Resort - really lovely. The Talay Thai in St Ives was great. Need to collect. Thanks for a great stay

Past Customer,

Property is well fitted out. The space is generous and the view is fantastic. Parking is a bonus too in Carbis Bay.

Mrs M,

The cleanliness was not acceptable. We shuffled a few things around on arrival and had to hover immediately. The ground floors was just filthy. There was also chewing gum stuck to a mirror. Two of the ensuite bathroom door handles was defective. A member of our group got locked into one of them and we had to remove the handles to turn the bar to let them out. The hob is really temperamental and just would not turn on at times and also just turned off on numerous occasions for no reason. The location is amazing with a bus stop outside the door giving access to all surrounding areas. Carbis beach is just down the hill. The open plan living area is a great space, as is the outdoor area. It would benefit with the addition of a BBQ. Overall, mixed feelings due to the defects and cleanliness issues but the location and living areas were great.

Mr Thomas F,

Inside of the property was immaculate but disappointed with the outside areas as the balcony was dirty, patio area needed sweeping and cleaning not what you would expect for guests arriving looked like it had been forgotten and the rear fences needed repairing or replacing. Other than these minor issues the property was excellent.

Mr Simon L,

Towels are not as premium as the property, broken corkscrew (thank you for the replacement/wine :)), stairs are very steep, need a fence on the right hand side to keep the dog in! The EV charger is not fixed to wall properly, this needs securing to be safe. Overall fabulous space and great location for access to St Ives by public transport and also car to everywhere. Great touches with welcome gifts and toiletries and candles everywhere :) The property is lovely and warm (hate to see your heating bill!), but you could get away with a degree or so cooler. Recommendation: add a clothes dryer so you don’t have to use the tumble dryer - will save you a fortune!

Miss Paula W,

Location

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. You could lose yourself for hours in the charming cobbled streets which are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries, top notch restaurants and welcoming local pubs- a real treasure trove just waiting to be explored!

St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
