Cottages in Little Petherick

Little Petherick, ‘the spring in the valley’, is nestled along the coast of North Cornwall, sitting quietly on Little Petherick creek and bridging a tidal tributary of the River Camel.

Little Petherick is an ideal base for exploring North Cornwall being only 2 miles from Padstow; its town and beach offer peace and quiet whilst being close enough to all Padstow offers. The Saints Way trail also passes through it, which is great for walking, and here you can still see the remains of an old copper mine and water mills.

When staying in Little Petherick, a visit to Padstow is a must with its quaint harbour, winding streets and of course the famous Rick Stein restaurants. Grab your board and head for Newquay’s famous Fistral beach, a surfer's paradise and, if you’re a beginner, try Waterways Extreme Academy where you can learn to catch a wave or two. Newquay Zoo has trails to explore on foot and if you get there early you can even help to give the animals their breakfast. Be sure to visit Tintagel castle linked to the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and still surrounded in mystery; if the tide is out you can even see Merlin's cave.

Hire a bike at Padstow and cycle the Camel trail offering 18 miles of disused railway track for car-free cycling, or join the Saints Way at Little Petherick and test your stamina walking 27 miles to the South coast. Whatever you decide to do make sure you have time for a traditional Cornish pasty or finish the day off with a Cornish cream tea.

We offer cottages of all sizes to suit all needs and we’re sure you’ll find just what you are looking for in our selection of Little Petherick cottages below. If you need help or advice with your search, call our team on 0333 2020899, and let us help you plan your next adventure.
