Cottages near Studland Bay

Some of the most popular beaches in the country, the three beaches that make up Studland bay are managed by the National Trust. The gorgeous wedge of golden sands, an enviable treat along this stretch of coast, has fabulous views of the iconic Old Harry Rocks at the end of the bay, with glimpses of the Isle of Wight in the distance.

The natural formation of the bay has created gently shelving bathing waters, perfect for swimmers young and old and the fine sands are ideal for champion sand castles worthy of Princes and Princesses. With the cliffs and heathlands behind, the bay naturally shelters all the sun seekers from prevailing Westerly winds. It’s popularity is easily understood. With plenty of parking in the village and near the beach it has been perfectly and practically developed to cater for its influx of sand lovers and water splashers who swam to this beautiful stretch of sand whenever the British sun shines.

Backed by heathlands and dunes the area is home to many plant and creature life, including all six of the country’s listed reptiles. So if you are a budding entomologist you are sure to happily while your days away in complete content, oblivious to those with sunbathing more on their agenda. After a day at the beach a trip into Swanage is the archetypal seaside town where ice cream, restaurants, pubs and more beaches can be enjoyed, not forgetting a steam train!

We have a host of cottages in Swanage and in the surrounding area, offering the perfect base for a holiday in this sunny and popular stretch of the UK coast. Just call us on 0333 2020 899 and we will find you the perfect getaway.
